Use less plastic and more reusable packaging with our beeswax food wraps. Whether you need a breathable cover for leftovers in the fridge or a plastic-free wrapping option for school lunches, our reusable beeswax wraps are a natural alternative. Beautiful design, less household waste, endless uses!

What do you do with beeswax wraps?

An eco-friendly alternative to plastic, beeswax food wraps have multiple uses. Wrap fresh fruits and veggies, cheese, sandwiches, and appropriate leftovers, or cover bowls. They are not suitable for raw meats and fish.

Are beeswax food wraps reusable?

Yes! You can keep your food covered and stored again and again with Comvita’s reusable beeswax wraps, reducing waste.

How do you clean beeswax food wraps?

First, remove any crumbs and rinse your beeswax food cover with cold water. Use a mild soap, cool water and a sponge or cloth to give it a decent clean. Let it air-dry completely before using it again. Avoid using any heat or hot water, as it can melt the wax coating.

Are beeswax wraps safe?

Comvita’s reusable beeswax wraps are made with cotton and coated with natural ingredients, such as food-grade beeswax, resin and jojoba oil. They are designed for everyday food wrapping and covering, offering a reusable, natural alternative to single-use plastic wrap for suitable foods.

Can beeswax wraps go in the freezer?

Yes, beeswax food wraps can be stored in the freezer for up to one month, and are great for wrapping bread, sweet treats and raw fruit & veggies. However, they are unsuitable for long-term freezer storage as the wax can crack. Handle frozen items gently, and let them come to room temperature before unwrapping.

Do beeswax wraps leave residue?

You may notice a small amount of residue left behind, especially with frequent handling. This can easily be washed off hands, containers, and fresh fruit and vegetables.

How long does a beeswax wrap last?

Beeswax food wraps can last up to one year with regular use and proper care. Ensure you clean it correctly, avoid wrapping hot foods or containers, and do not freeze your food wrap for prolonged periods.

Since 1974, Comvita® has been sharing the wonders of pure New Zealand Mānuka Honey with the world. Treading lightly on the land, we have a vision of a world where bees and nature thrive together in harmony.

  • Lady eating Manuka Honey

Not all Manuka is created equal

Sometimes, nature works a little harder for you.  Genuine UMF™ Mānuka honey  has three potent and unique compounds –  Methylglyoxal (MGO),  Leptospermum and Dihydroxyacetone (DHA).

Some of our honey has more of that goodness than others.

The  UMF™  rating  makes it easy for you to see which of our honey contains higher concentrations  of these powerful bioactives.  The greater the UMF™  Mānuka  honey  grade,  the higher the concentration.

  • Bee Propolis - Our PFL difference™

Honeybees are clever.  They make bee propolis by collecting resin from trees and combine it with beeswax and enzymes to seal and protect the hive. Bee Propolis originates from a plant’s immune system and contains over 300 natural, bioactive compounds, flavonoids and phenolics (potent antioxidants) that work at the cellular level to fight free radicals and support the body’s immune system, naturally.

What makes us different from others, is our measure of flavonoids (it is the flavonoids that matter when buying bee propolis as these bioactive compounds are what support the immune system – not the amount of propolis or fresh equivalent of propolis consumed).

  • Olive Leaf Extract - FRESH PICKED™ DAILY

Comvita Olive Leaf Extract is only made from our Fresh-Picked™ leaves on our Australian farms.  We only use fresh leaves in our extracts, rather than dried leaves or reconstituted powders to preserve the quality of the Oleuropein.  Scientific testing shows that liquid Olive Leaf Extracts made directly from fresh leaves have a broader spectrum potency.

By using fresh leaves – harvested at sunrise, and concentrated before lunch – we avoid drying, damage and decay.  It also means that we are not artificially boosting the compounds in isolation, we retain the balanced combination of antioxidants as found naturally in the original fresh leaf.

Regenerating Nature with Every Jar

We are committed to giving back to nature. So far, we have rescued over 60 million bees and planted nearly 7 million trees. Your purchase helps us give back – thank you!
